When King Fear graduated from college, he could have continued down the traditional, stable route of life. Instead, he decided to build a music career from nothing. It’s his way of answering the question: “what happens when you finally stop playing it safe?”

Now, King Fear is carving a space for Asian-American artists in the music industry. The name King Fear is inspired by Shakespeare’s play King Lear - a nod to his focus on meaningful writing and theatrical stage presence. Both are on full display any time he performs live with his signature red guitar and a voice that toys between control and collapse.

King Fear is 22 years old, 100% independent, and based in Brooklyn.

His most recent release is Today's Youth.
